2012 Bear Aware Program

Free English Classes for Landed Immigrants, Refugee Claimants and Naturalized Canadian Citizens

Free English language classes for landed immigrants, refugee claimants and naturalized Canadian citizens at Immigrant Services Society of BC (ISSofBC) - Squamish office. Classes are taught by certified instructors. ISSofBC students must be 17 years old or older to attend.

 Squamish is a popular filming destination, and this week a few productions are filming around our community.

Feature Film
Original Pictures is in town filming a feature length film at
BC Parks, Stawamus Chief from November 8-14.

TV Movie
World Pictures will be filming in Downtown Squamish from November 6-8.

SORCA plays match-maker for candidates and rec groups

SQUAMISH—SORCA (Squamish Off Road Cycying Association) announced today an innovative new format for its November 9 all-candidates meeting. Instead of a whole room session, candidates will meet with smaller groups organized by outdoor recreation interest.
