Social Rides are non-competitive guided rides for riders new to Squamish and/or mountain biking. Downhill races are open to everyone, and end with a backyard BBQ along with the social ride participants

We'll hike down from the upper parking lot, focusing heavily on getting the water off of the trail as quickly as possible, with lots of drainage, cross-ditches, and some bridges. Together we can revive this eroded mess of a trail and make it sustainbale and flowy once more.

His stage name, G.Jogi Daduwalia reflects his name and the village he originally came from in India. He has been in India for the production of his CD and will be returning here shortly to perform at weddings and country fairs. His wife Gurjit is well known in the community for her work at the library with multi-cultural support groups.

The 2009 Squamish Garden Tour will be held on Sunday, June 14 from 9 am until 4 pm. Tickets are available from The Bookshelf, Anna's Attic, Billie's Bouquet, The Adventure Centre, Garibaldi Nurseries and the Squamish Public Library, as well as at the gardens on display. Tour the ten wonderful gardens on the program and enjoy a coffee and local art exhibition at Quest University.

We'll hike up from the bottom of Skookum, raking and buffing Skookum, and doing some major re-routing and draining of the lower sections of Upper PowerSmart. Join the crowd on Test of Metal day as a participant in the annual Rotary Club Celebrity Challenge. You'll start immediately following the Test of Metal and follow the course down the highway, up Skyline, and around Kintyre. Then you'll split off and end your ride on Perth for some refreshments and an awards ceremony. It's all in good fun.
The NSCU Squamish Test of Metal cross-country mountain bike race is many things to many people.

A chair carving contest unique to Squamish in which chairs of all shapes and sizes are carved out of logs using chainsaws. Judging and auctioning of chairs takes place at approximately 5:00 pm, with all proceeds going to Big Brothers & Big Sisters Squamish. Squamish Station Mall.
Concert 4 A Cure is a benefit concert consisting of local musicians banding together to show their support for those infected with HIV/AIDS in Africa. 100% of all proceeds will go towards the Global Fund and help save lives and end the epidemic. 4 bands will be taking the stage at the Eagle Eye Theatre in Squamish during the Squamish Days Festival on July 31.
Born in New York, Alex has worked in theatre and film for forty years and has appeared in over one hundred films, television shows and plays. He has an extensive directing background and is a highly respected acting teacher and coach in the Vancouver film community and the founder of The Bruhanski Acting Studio.

The Squamish Days 10K Run will be a part of the newly established Lower Mainland Road Race Series. This series features ten of the best events in the Vancouver area, providing runners of all ages and abilities with the chance to compete against their peers.

Youth Sailing and Kayaking camp stating August 3 for four 5 day sessions 9 am - 4 pm at the Squamish Yacht Club. This program has never been offered in Squamish and we needs participants to make it a success. We have new sail boats, new kayaks, an experienced instructor and eager volunteers. Howe Sound Men's Soccer once again welcomes all new players and/or teams to the league starting Sunday, Sep 13, at 10:00 am. Brennan park. Practice times are Thursday nights 6 pm on Field 1, starting Thursday Aug 27. This season, the league hopes to have at least six teams involved, having had as many as 10 teams in the past.

Autumn Tales is a musical adventure into autumn for kids ages 3-5. Local enironmental educator, Kimberly Armour, and musician Scott Gaudette, will lead the group on a journey exploring the sounds, smells, sights and texture of the changing season. Participants will learn about salmon, insects and other critters that share our community.
Let's Rock! Curling is a fun, social sport that keeps you active during the winter months in Squamish. The game is suited to both beginners and experienced players, and can accommodate singles, couples or teams of four. Howe Sound Curling Program runs from October through March with Leagues for Seniors, Men, Women, Mixed and Monday Night Charity league.
