The SWS invites all kiteboarders to participate in the 2nd annual Kiteboard Course Racing Summer Series.

Four days of series-scoring racing is scheduled for June 12th, July 10th, August 28th, Sept 11th.
There will be a free "Intro to Racing Clinic" orientation day at the Spit, June 5th.
Early Bird registration by May 31st.

Popular in Europe, this mass participation cycling event is open to all levels of ability and the first ride of its kind in Canada. Starting in Vancouver and ending a grueling 120 kilometers later in Whistler, this ride features 2,400 meters of elevation gain along the incredibly scenic Sea to Sky Highway.

The third annual SteamFest event is coming to the West Coast Railway Heritage Park. This festival of live steam will feature Royal Hudson #2860 in operation as well as steam displays and steam operations of many kinds and scales. In additional there will be a classic car show each day of the event.

New this year! The Sound Children’s Chorus, led by Melissa Braun is open to boys and girls ages 9-12. This community choir is designed as an introduction to choral singing. The children’s chorus will meet on Sundays from 5pm-5:45pm at the Squamish Arts Counil Building in Pavilion Park on Cleveland Ave. The fall semester begins on Sunday, September 19th.

The Sound Youth Chorus is back for its second season! This community choir is comprised of girls ages 13-18. Under the Direction of Kelly Coubrough, they meet Sundays from 6pm-8pm at the Squamish Arts Council Building in Pavilion Park on Cleveland Ave. The new fall semester begins on Sunday, September 19. Registration will still be open on Sunday, September 26.

Have you ever wondered what at day in a Waldorf classroom is like? On Monday, September 27, Cedar Valley Waldorf School will open its doors to interested students for the District Pro D Day. Parents can send their children for a day to attend class at their level from Grade two to seven. Space is limited.

The WOW riders are going to Granville Island for a ride on Sept 27th and will meet at the Adventure Centre at 9:00 am to Car Pool to Park Royal (weather Permitting). Riders wanting to leave from Second Beach can leave at 9:30 am. If it is raining on Monday the ride will be local and be meeting at Canadian tire at 10:00 am.

Saturday morning is for anyone who wants to try riding on one wheel, the afternoon will have a screening of a wicked unicycling film at the Adventure Centre Theatre. Sunday is for those who have ridden a little and want to boost their skills with workshops and a group ride.
The focus is on fun times with one wheel.

Saturday, Oct 16 starting at 10:00 am there will be massive blowout of stock! Sample sale at great discounts! Saturday features a unicycle demonstration - you, too, can give it a try. And that’s not all: that evening there will be a party! That’s right, music, beverages, friends and, of course, dancing at the Republic!

Build a strong foundation with base training this WINTER geared towards endurance sports enthusiasts- runners, hikers, mountain bikers, road cyclist, cross-country skiers etc. The focus will be on balancing the body, building lean muscle mass and training balance and agility.
