First Squamish Wheels in Motion Event

There will be a head-to-head Wheelchair challenge race: Local teams show off their skills in a Wheelchair challenge demonstration. Participating teams race against the clock through an obstacle course designed to foster a better understanding of what it is like to navigate through life in a wheelchair. We will also feature some Paralympic sport demos, to showcase local adaptive sports programs and opportunities.
The community of Squamish prepares for the 7th annual Rick Hansen Wheels In Motion event, and will be hosting the first Wheels In Motion for Squamish to take place on Saturday, June 13, 2009.
