Annual Christmas Bird Count

We will meet at McDonald's restaurant 7:00 – 7:15 am to get into our groups, and be on our way before 8:00. There is a $5 fee to participate. All are welcome, but please contact me no later than December 6th to allow me time to put suitable groups together. My phone is 604 898-9420. Email myd123@telus.net. The count is all day (8:00 am – 4:00 pm) and will go ahead in all weather.

This is not suitable for children or dogs.

Lunch arrangements will be whatever the route dictates. In some cases it will mean a bag lunch. After the count there will be a pot luck "Dinner and Data" wind-up, the location to be announced. CBC Feeder Watch for those who would rather participate from the warmth of their home, there is Feeder Watch. If you have active feeders and know your ducks from your dickie birds, please contact me. (I can give a little identification primer if needed) This involves watching your feeders throughout the day and keeping a count of the bird species.
