Cadets is a federally-sponsored program for young Canadians ages 12 to 18 who are interested in participating in a variety of challenging and rewarding activities.

Air Cadets learn about the traditions of the Royal Canadian Air Force, and participate in flight-related activities. Air Cadets have a chance to earn their civilian pilot licenses through the Air Cadet program.

Popular programs include Gliding, Familiarization Flying, Survival Weekends and Summer Training Camps.

Many Air Cadets go on to enjoy civilian flying careers, while others choose to pursue flying as an enjoyable life-long hobby.

Cadets are not part of the Canadian Forces, nor is there any expectation for them to join the military.
Local Training (September - June) :
Don Ross High School Tuesdays 6:30 - 9:30 pm

Kids are welcome to drop in, with their parent or guardian, any Tuesday and see what’s going on.

Air Cadet Training is divided into five proficieny levels, including on-the-job training for senior cadets.
