Friday Jan 8th:  Film Night and Guest Speakers at the Eagle Eye Theatre in Squamish.
Doors open at 7:00PM. Event starts at 7:30 pm, admission by donation. The award winning avalanche safety film “The Fine Line” will be shown. Guest speakers will present from BC Parks, The Canadian Avalanche Rescue Dog Association and The Canadian Avalanche Centre.

Saturday & Sunday Jan 9-10th:

Avalanche Awareness Activities in the backcountry 10:00 am – 3:00pm.
Join BC Parks Rangers up in Garibaldi Park at the Diamondhead Red Heather Warming Shelter for a variety of activities. Drop by anytime to have a look at their avalanche awareness booth, be shown this year’s snow profile, take a fun quiz or challenge your friends in a beacon search.

Local Conservation Officers will be at two popular snowmobile staging areas from 10:00 am – 3:00 pm. On Saturday at the Cat Lake Forest Service Road and on Sunday at the Rutherford Forest Road. They will have an avalanche awareness booth, area set up to do beacon searches, avalanche trivia, free hot drinks and prizes.
