2010 Relay For Life Kick-Off

Relay For Life is not just a fundraiser. It’s an event that brings together people across Canada to celebrate the lives of those who have battled cancer, remember loved ones lost, and empower individuals and communities to fight back against cancer. Mark your calendars for the 2010 event, June 4th from 7pm to 7am.

Kick Off Date: Saturday January 16th, 2010

 Location: Brennan Park Recreation Centre – Auditorium

 Time: 1:00pm – 3:00pm

1:00pm         Open time, mingling, arts & crafts, food, door prizes, purchase luminaries, team sign ups, fundraising ideas, & donation forms

1:45pm         Introductions

1:50pm         Remarks and recognitions

2:00pm      Presentation by Sue MacPhail – Health Promotion Coordinator CCS. “Come and learn what the Canadian Cancer Society is doing in Squamish to reduce the number of preventable cancers and make a healthy community for you and your family”

2:30pm         Video of 2009 Relay For Life

2:45pm         Luminary Ceremony

3:00pm         Closing remarks followed by more mingling and sign-ups etc
