Squamish CAN (Climate Action Network) meeting Monday, March 8th @ 7pm at the Brackendale Art Gallery.
 
Come and join Squamish CAN at our next Network meeting. We enjoy a fun, informal atmosphere while learning about the possibilities for creative change in our community. Bring your own ideas if you have them, or help us develop exciting projects for collective action.
 
AT THIS MEETING
As you may or may not know, March 8th is International Women's Day, so it is more than fair that we should dedicate part of our meeting to this world-wide celebration, don't you think? Our special guest on this occasion will be Shana Murray, from the Howe Sound Women's Centre, who will tell us about the role of this special place in our town. We will also be exploring the many ways in which climate change affects women around the world. Under the theme Climate change is not gender neutral, Squamish CAN's Education group coordinator Linda Kelly-Smith will share a brief presentation with us. Additionally, we will have the opportunity to watch some short videos of women from all continents as they adapt to the changes that global warming brings to their homes and lives and they take action to make things better.
