WHAT'S GOING ON?

Deep in the heart of Downtown Squamish an event like none other is about to unfold. The celebration of a nation in the heart of a town. A place where north comes south where we can all celebrate the enigma that is Canada, and we can do it with Squamish style.

Starting at 10:30 am the Canada Day Line-Up takes to the streets on the corner of Winnipeg and Cleveland, and at Stan Clarke Park

THE SCHEDULE:

10:30 am Legion march and Flag Raising at the Municipal War Memorial

11 am Speech & Welcome to event Mayor Greg Gardener \ Donna Billy

11 am – 7 pm Art at the Market

10 am – 3 pm Market Place

1 pm Tia Chi Demo in the Park

11 noon – 4 pm Family Fun Carnival - Dunk Tank – Heavy Hoops – Limbo

2pm Street Hockey on Winnipeg between Cleveland and Loggers Ave. -- TITLE GAME.. Squamish vs Whistler... word on the street is we need some players from Whistler.. apparently they're scared. For more info talk to Colin at the Grilled Fromage.

3 pm Kids Puppet Show at Cleveland and Winnipeg

3:45 pm Cake Cutting / Thank you from the Mayor or council member

4 pm Play N Trade Tournament on 2nd Ave. aka the really cool underrated street Downtown with awesome sushi, a killer music store, amazing bakery, and more adventure than you can shake a Squamish street hockey stick at!

4 pm - 10 pm Beer Garden Opens.. We heard Canadians like beer.

4:15 pm Bands start-- line up being released really soon.. it'll be amazing

10:30 pm- FIREWORKS really really good FIREWORKS!!

11:00 pm- Go home to a good nights rest, or carrying on your merry making at one of the fine establishments located in our lovely Downtown.

Ride a bike, utilize two feet, and a heartbeat, take a bus if you can, and at the very least carpool. If you libations are flowing a little too freely please be responsible and call one of these fine cab companies.
