Rubble Creek Classic

As part of the Sea to Sky Trail Running Series, the Rubble Creek Classic takes runners up a gruelling 2915ft climb. Runners then proceed along the Helm Creek Trail through the Cinder Flats giving them epic views of the Black Tusk. Through the beautiful Taylor Meadows ending with the final knee jarring decent of 4015ft to finish at the Rubble Creek parking lot.
A mandatory sign starts at 7:00am with the race starting at 8:00am at the Cheakamus Lake Trail parking lot. There is a soft start option for 4+ hour runners at 7:15am.
Course Description: The Rubble Creek Classic climbs from Cheakamus Lake trail up 2915ft and across Helm Creek flats giving spectacular panoramic views along the way. Through Taylor Meadows to a final knee jarring decent of 4015ft. to finish at the Rubble creek Parking lot.
This is a completely self sufficient event, there will be no aid stations or water on the course. You must navigate your own way, although there will be a sweep if an emergency presents itself. All runners must abide by the BC Parks Act.
Distance: Approximately 24km
Finish: Garibaldi Park parking lot
Awards & Brunch: There will be a brunch after the event at a location to be determined with awards and prizes for the top runners.

Directions:
Start: Cheakamus Lake Parking Lot: At Function Junction, turn East off Highway 99 onto Cheakamus Lake Road, then left onto the gravel FSR to the parking lot. It is approximately 8.5km from the highway.
Finish: Garibaldi Park Parking lot. Turn East of Highwayy 99 onto the Garibaldi Park Road. Approximately 32.5km from the Squamish McDonalds or 17.5km from the Function Junction trafic lights.
