Young at Art: For the Young, From the Heart

The Squamish Montessori Parent Committee will be holding its inaugural fundraising event – “Young at Art” – on Saturday, October 16th starting at 7:00pm at the Brackendale Art Gallery. Tickets are $25 per person and include tapas. Tickets are available by cash or cheque from Billies Bouquet.

This event is all about discovery, and will feature both live art demonstrations and creations, as well as viewing and auction of a variety of art from different mediums including: the Art of Food, the Art of Outdoor Living, the Art of Sport, the Art of Landscaping and the Art of Relaxation. Guests will be able to watch as talented, local artists generate unique works of art right before their eyes, while enjoying live music (violinist Yuko Iwanaga), amazing tapas, and an inviting social atmosphere. All art created and displayed during the event will be auctioned during the evening, with all proceeds going to support the Squamish Montessori pre-school and elementary school classrooms.
