Walk on Charlie - Live at the Brew Pub

Howe Sound Brew Pub. 9:30 pm. No Cover. Acoustic folk blues. Walk on Charlie is a two piece with John McDonald on vocals & harps and Steven Schell on guitar & piano. Born and raised in Kingston, they met in high school and played in several alt rock funk bands throughout the 90's and 00's. After going their separate ways they met again in Vancouver a few years ago and dusted off the acoustic only to find themselves writing songs again. Influenced by any good music they could get our ears on from old blues, bubble gum 60's pop, hard rock, hip hop, r and b, etc.... they ended up with an introspective Canadian acoustic sound that seemed to regenerate itself the more they wrote. After a while of only having the other as an audience they decided to follow the immortal Doobie Brothers advice and 'take it to the streets'.
